Dimitra Siatitsa
PHD student at the department of Urban and Regional Planning of the NTUA. Master in Architecture and Urban culture from the Technical University of Catalonia. Diploma in Architecture from the school of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Currently working on her thesis on informal urbanisation in the Mediterranean cities and the role of urban social movements.

As a PHD student her research focuses on the informal sector and more precisely the informal urbanisation and access to housing in Southern European cities (and cities of the South in general). Her main interests are related to the development of urban social movements and the formation of the civil society within the context of Southern cities; everyday urban survival strategies and citizens claims to "the-right-to-the-city".
