Skills mobilised
She currently works on the role of local governance at the neighbourhood level in the framework of her doctoral thesis. Her research aim is to contribute to the analysis of local communities in two ways: first, by adopting an original theoretical framework (combining concepts as socio-economic development, local governance, social capital, social economy and social innovation) and, second, by carrying out empirical investigations (an in-depth case study was carried out in one of the neighbourhoods of Roubaix-France). She participated in the SINGOCOM project (FP5 funded project) as a member of a multidisciplinary team composed by sociologists and economists. These activities allowed her to develop skills in integrating and applying discipline theories, models, and concepts to a research paper, and to acquire organisational, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
