Jacques Nussbaumer is a junior researcher. He studied the importance of institution and culture in debates on local development. After his PhD, he worked on the spatial dimensions of Social Innovation, showing the methodological contribution of writers of the German Historical School. His emphasis on the complex multi-level governance of economy shows the importance of cooperation and competition in the process of Social Innovation. Implied at the moment in a European project on development models (DEMOLOGOS, FP6), aiming at the elaboration of an institutional and multi-dimensional theoretical framework on development.
