Alexandre Abreu has worked as a junior researcher at CEG for four years, having participated in the activities of several EC-funded research projects and networks, including the IMISCOE Network of Excellence (on immigration, integration and social cohesion) and the Project ARGO 2005 (on demographic change and labour migration), alongside nationally-funded projects focusing on social innovation and local development and on monitoring and evaluation of urban community development programmes. His MA thesis focused on international migration and sending country development.
